Entroducing by DJ Shadow is one of the greatest albums of all time.  I’m pretty sure it was in the top 3 albums of the nineties, and I’m very sure it is the best hip hop album ever.

The album, completely constructed by samples, features some of the best DJ/editing/mixing work I’ve ever heard.  This genre of music may not be my area of expertise, but I know good music when I hear it.  And this album is genius.

I highly recommend “Building Steam With A Grain of Salt”.  What a beautiful track and a great introduction to DJ Shadow as a whole.  As always with albums, I recommend just listening to the whole thing, but if you’re going to just sample one track, try that one.
