While physical distance may separate us and not allow us to dance in person, we do have an option: THE MONTHLY MIXTAPE, a new monthly subscription service that I’ve begun that brings together music and people. What is THE MONTHLY MIXTAPE, you ask?
When you subscribe to THE MONTHLY MIXTAPE for $15/month, you’ll get:
- One 60 minute cassette mixtape compiled by Justin William Hoenke, with original artwork from a real human artist, every month mailed to your front door.
- Sometimes the artwork for the monthly mixtape will be made by Justin William Hoenke. In some instances, that artwork will be made by a guest artist. That month’s guest artist will get a portion of that month’s sales for their creative endeavours.
- TO SUBSCRIBE, click on that big ol’ yellow PayPal subscribe button below. Right now PayPal is the only option that I can offer for payment, but I will look to adding Venmo and possibly others in the near future.

- WHY $15/MONTH?
- $10/month goes towards cassettes, mailers, monthly payments for guest artists, and whatever is leftover is 50/50 split into business savings and profit. $4.47 goes directly towards mailing your monthly mixtape out to you in the USA via Media Mail. The remaining $0.53 will go into a business savings account to help better plan for any emergency repairs and needs or for investment in business growth.
- WHY CASSETTES and DO YOU DO OTHER FORMS OF MEDIA?
- I loved putting together mixtapes when I was a kid, and now that I have access to the same types of music equipment and a much bigger musical library I got back into making mixtapes for fun in 2025. I like cassettes because of how physical they are and how worn they sound at the start. THE MONTHLY MIXTAPE isn’t for someone expecting the best audio quality. It’s about a feeling and a vibe.
