I know that numbers don’t mean everything, but I have to say that I am very proud to share these circulation statistics from my teen library. This was the first year we could really measure any changes and notice trends(the teen library opened on April 15, 2010).
My overall theme when it comes to collection development has always been collect what your community wants. Seeing these numbers makes me realize that I’m doing a pretty good job so far, but there’s always room for improvement.
*Music has a 60% decrease because that collection was merged with our adult music collection in late 2011 and the teen collection no longer exists*
