Back in the late 00’s and early 10’s, social networking was very exciting and it was very much “the thing”. I myself really believed in the power of tools such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Myspace, etc. I thought that their ability to share so much and allow someone to quickly put forth their ideas and plans was revolutionary. I also really believe in the power of community, and I thought that this was going to be the digital version of community building. It felt revolutionary at the time. I was wrong about this. I should have known all along that these social networking sites and the cabal of evil and greedy people that run them would harvest everything that we are, sell us time and time again to every corporation and tyranical government out there, and reap profits and hoard money while hurting 99% of the rest of the world out there. They always had evil and greed in their hearts, and I just didn’t see it. I was blinded by the good that I thought these tools could create. Instead, They gobbled up our souls and now they aim to control us in every way. I was wrong about everything when it came to late 00’s and early 10’s technology, and from this I have learned even more strongly not to trust the tech elite oligarchs and corporations that now run this world. I am sorry for the part that I have played in this.
